Text Issue - missing line of pixels across screen?
I was able to kind-of search and find one other with this issue. it's like a whole row of pixels is removed from the line of text for the whole screen. Its about every 20% of the screen there is a line that removes a pixel of the characters in any text, even the login screens.
I think I can fix by going fullscreen and back, but that can crash the game. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I should start by saying I run in windowed mode. It looks like I can do windowed -> Fullscreen -> windowed at login before the 3D assets come into play without a crash, but that is still not ideal.

nope, that win-fs-win didn't stick for when the 3d assets load.

This seems similar to https://project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=337699, and I have two possible answers for you in that thread.

In any case, I'd still recommend starting by trying the suggestions there, like playing with your eqclient.ini resolutions and/or using WinEQ. (I mean, you're welcome to wait for someone else to suggest a different idea, but as you saw in that thread, there hasn't exactly been an outpouring of ideas.)

I guess we'll use this thread. I'm the other person with the issue (though people have been popping up with this issue and pretty much no resolution for a long time). In the other thread, it was mentioned that this issue is due to the width of the EQ window and playing with that value might help. Doing that resets my UI layout and I'm not sure it's worth the hassle.
I spent some time troubleshooting this issue maybe 5ish years ago and I was able to resolve it. I don't remember exactly, but I think it was with dgvoodoo2 changes, even though that doesn't necessarily line up with my understanding of that utility. I recently started playing again, fresh Windows install on the same machine, and using the same p99 folder (same eqclient.ini, same dgvoodoo2 config, same everything) and now the issue is back. The only thing I can think of that could be different is nvidia settings, I did a bit of tinkering there but didn't see any improvements. I'm happy to help troubleshoot again if people are interested and want to collaborate, but for the most part it's not a huge deal for me and I just ignore it.

Let's trouble shoot! It is bothersome to me. I have a win 10 partition and a win 11 partition. and I keep install notes so I can do installs the same[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] way.

I an also using DuxiUI. chatgpt mentioned something about certain UI skins being a problem.

I played with this a bit more after the last post and was able to resolve it as a resolution issue, however my solution creates a new issue that I consider to be worse. Maybe there's a better way?
My solution was basically using a borderless fullscreen app (tried a few, they all seem to be essentially the same). First I made sure my WindowedWidth and WindowedHeight in eqclient.ini were set to my native monitor resolution (i.e. 2560x1440). Then if I use one of these apps (such as Borderless Gaming) to "fullscreen" the eq window, then these lines disappear. However, my problem after this is that it seems like these apps stretch the UI elements visually, but not functionally. So what happens is that mouse clicks in the UI are a few pixels off--this seems to be worse near the edge of the screen. For example, clicking items in an inventory slot that I keep near the bottom of the screen will actually pick up the item that's in the adjacent inventory slot, if that makes sense. This creates too much headache for me so I just deal with the few lines on the monitor. Maybe this'll work for you, or maybe there's another path here.
