Default IM trying but the game is fighting me Any help?

I have a 4k monitor. I can run this in either 2k or 4k anything below that and things get a little rough.

Whenever I attempt full screen the game either crashes or goes back to window mode. To top this in 4k and or 2k the UI is so tiny it is just not functional. I am sure that everyone else in the world is having this issue right its not just me? Are there any known work arounds for this?

Crashing when you fullscreen/etc watch this video and follow these steps
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgFuYs-okjY
Step 1 - Set compatability and run as administrator

1.) Locate your EQ directory

2.) Find 'eqgame.exe'

3.) Right click 'eqgame.exe' and select Properties

4.) Check the box next to 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:'

5.) Select 'Windows XP (Service Pack 2)' from the drop down

6.) Under 'Settings' below, check 'Run this program as an admnistrator'

7.) Press 'Apply' or 'Okay'

Video has other fixes, dgvoodoo is amazing and you should get that too, but try the above shit first.
