if you're not a tribalist, the tribes label you as the other tribe.

Dude is upset that math is real. Two plus two is four. Then two more, thats six. Two more, thats eight. So, eight trillion dollars has not been collected in taxes from the wealthiest people/companies in america.

Math is so liberal, I know. Its probably got an AGENDA!!
Powell said at the congressional hearing yesterday that its going to take 24 years to pay off the trillions of dollars he distributed to the top 10% richest Americans since March 2020. And that's assuming he is able to prevent a recession over the next 24 years.

Ironically, no one cares or talks about it because you start throwing around math terms like QE and MBS and peoples' eyes glaze over. Also ironically, the democrats are re-electing him to head of the federal reserve next month.

Its like robbing the poor in daylight but the poor don't understand quantitative easing so they bitch about military spending when the military actually does something while the federal reserve just paid off congress and their hedge fund buddies under the guise of covid relief.

You have to be pretty brainwashed to think that when the government cuts taxes they're "giving away" something. They are simply stealing a little less than they normally do. And how you think there's a causal link between that and inflation shows your calculus is only "republicans bad, democrats good" and from that axiom you work backwards to try to explain the situation. But your explanation lacks any coherence. You are simply a tribalist playing a team sport, and it's not interesting or insightful. There are plenty of things you could legitimately criticize republicans for, but you do not seem to care about what is true.
Lol at this guy not understanding the benefits he is gaining (from the government) through the taxes we all pay (like roads, or police/fire protection, a judicial system, etc etc etc), while at the same time calling taxes "theft". Pretty selfish and ignorant IMO. Libertarians are just selfish people who dont understand anything about "the greater good". They want to reap all the rewards of taxpayer funded services but not pay for any of it themselves.

When you cut taxes, it has to come from somewhere. Thats either entitlements, the military, or government services, like roads and bridges. Guess which one of those is falling apart, literally? Gravydoo does have a point regarding the Trump admin tax cuts that were completely unpaid for. They tried to play the smoke and mirrors game with the public back then by saying they would be paid for with wildly optimistic growth projections which never came to be. Trump's treasury department head (Steve Mnuchin) claimed growth of 2.8% per year, but in actuality it was 0.8%. Those tax cuts increased the deficit by $1T over ten years, but no one in the GOP (or their supporters) seem to care?

The economy has a delayed reaction to policy. It doesnt instantaneously respond. The Trump tax cuts (which are in effect for 10 years) certainly needs to be a part of today's conversation on the economy. I find it comical when R voters pretend to be deficit hawks when a D is president (who is forced to raise taxes because of irresponsible R tax policy, unfunded wars, etc) but conveniently forget history. It just shows how tribal they are - its not about deficits, its about finding scapegoats and pinning blame for problems they created on their successor.

Thats not tribalism, thats just facts.

What do you call it when someone takes something from you without your permission?

"The greater good", while a popular phrase in justifying taxation, is served better by decentralization and free enterprise. Government is the biggest, most monopolistic corporation of a country. You guys say you don't like all these rich people at the top of the hierarchy. But you ignore the biggest, richest, most powerful entity that sits above them all. You do not apply your standards to this entity which holds a monopoly on force, because it has taught you that you own it, when in reality it owns you.

Candace Owens says Bob Saget may have died from the Covid vaccine, what else are the reptilians telling her that the rest of us don't know?
