A friend recently rolled a Barbarian Rogue, and immediately had me come pick her up and get her out of Everfrost lol.

OP, if you are interested in moving to another zone just let me know and I can come help you out.

My favorite starting zone for Level 1 is West Freeport [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Lol Everfrost is just really hard, probably the toughest.

Pull spiderlings to safe spots and heal up in between pulls.

Yeah Everfrost really separates the wheat from the chaff. If you can come out of there alive and lvl 10 or whatever then you're ready for any dungeon.

As an EQ rule of thumb, stick to killing blue con mobs, however, at level 1 you should attack white mobs. To con a mob, target it and hit the "C" button. Never try to kill yellows even if you think you can take them...they won't be worth it.

Stick to white and blue con mobs at your level (level 1-5). Mostly just try to kill blue cons though.

Honeybee is right, Everfrost/Halas sucks. It’s only passable later for people killing elephants and ice giants.

PM me if you aren’t out of there yet. I’ll come get ya. Plenty of warrior guilds to train you.

I disagree, I just leveled a barb shaman to 5 and thought it was a pretty decent zone
The great thing is that the polar bear skins off the bears can be turned in for patchwork armor, by level 5 you are running through blackburrow in a full set of patchwork

My only complaint about the everfrost newbie area is the roaming red skeletons and the somewhat confusing nature of the canyons. I did keep my map up the whole time i was there.
