In the past. There would be a media blitz of showing the horrors of the current regime on prime time. But things are changing with something like only 20% of people getting their news from cable these days. It might not be as easy to whip people up to support a war with N. Korea as Trump is thinking. A lot of it has to do with people accepting the goodwill of the president -- which will be tough for him.

Shouldn't take long at all, we're not nation building. If Trump starts to nation build I'll get pissed. I hated that about Bush and 0bama, it's a globalist thing now. You just smash them and make sure their next dictator doesn't hate your guts but learns from the mistakes of the previous leaders untimely demise.
The thing to keep in mind is that to nation build N. Korea -- it could largely be outsourced to S. Korea. It's not like the situation in Iraq at all in this way. Koreans are ethnically and traditionally united people. S. Korea is already expecting to incorporate them into their country at some point in the future.

All of this is bad news for China though. It means they have to keep the regime intact (even if they kill a singular leader) to prevent S. Korea from essentially flipping their buffer state into a capitalist democracy. So Expect that if S. Korea starts trying to unite the two countries -- China will have some kind of a reaction.

Nation building creates jobs. What's wrong with jobs?

It just gives a few jobs to bankers and corporate speculators -- all the gains are kept among the shareholder class (in America).

Edit: the exception to this is the military jobs provided by the conflict.

All these antiquated ideas about China; should be America's idol in terms of imports, exports, and natural resources.

Most people don't want to accept that USA is basically going to be pushed out of the South China Sea -- and then China will rise as a major navel power in the future. They will surpass us economically -- and eventually may prove to be more effective at delivering continued growth.

(see: Monsoon: The Indian Ocean and the Future of American Power)

Many want America to continue to dominate China in both militarily and economically. But they don't seem to know what this kind of hostile plan entails. We would basically become a colonial fascist country in the long run. So most sensible people advocate accepting that America is not as dominate as it was right after World War II.

Nah like I edited in on the first paragraph a couple posts back (I know you missed it), they are truly separate countries now. They don't even refer to themselves as NK and SK, there will never be a reunification. Even ethnically they are changing, SK being taller people on avg. But many NK's want out, sure, though if the situation would change so would that desire to leave for some. NK likes Western culture just like SK, even just like Iran, they love jeans and rock music and video games etc. But that doesn't make everybody want to be all in the same border.

Something big breaking but needs confirmation. We may be sending two more carrier groups.

US Deploys Two More Aircraft Carriers Toward Korean Peninsula
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-0...ninsula-yonhap
According to a report by South Korea's primary news outlet, Yonhap, the Pentagon has directed a total of three US aircraft carriers toward the Korean Peninsula, citing a South Korean government source.

Yonhap reports that in addition to the CVN-70 Carl Vinson, which is expected to arrive off the South Korean coast on April 25, the CVN-76 Ronald Reagan - currently in home port in Yokosuka, Japan - and the CVN-68 Nimitz carrier group - currently undergoing final pre-deployment assessment, Composite Training Unit Exercise off Oregon - will enter the Sea of Japan next week.

so fur around 15-20 gallons of storage water you'll want to put about two teaspoons of real unscented bleach. Many city water treatment plants use bleach, but at lower doses for non-standing water. There are better methods, but this works for the price and likely on hand.

how is this any different than the pacific pivot under president 0bama?

Like, how are 2-3 carriers supposed to be a bigger deal than an entire strategic military maneuver executed under 0bama's Chuck Hagel? Is this a topic because a missile exploded on its missile launcher?

http://www.foreignpolicyi.org/conten...ons-pivot-asia

keep lapping up the bullshit fats. This is more of pokesan's avatar at work. Deep State, this is not the new and fresh populist vote at work or Trump's foreign policy.

Say it again to yourself fats "This is not Trump's foreign policy". And again fats, "This is not Trump's foreign policy".

Stretch,... good exercise
