After velious release, original and velious UIs were both supported until awhile after Luclin.
Nah, like I said, if you pressed f10 a couple times, you didn't have the stone viewport. It's my screenshot :P

As an aside, notice the buffs don't have a box around them. In original UI, iirc, your buffs were always aligned to the left of your name/group.

I also thought it was cool that it displayed a 3rd person view of yourself, when you were at your inventory, looting, trading, or vendoring screen.

Also - that turn in screenshot brings back so many memories - I always had a knot in my throat on big turn ins because I was still on dial up and VI wasn't all friendly about reimbursements - I had to actually wipe the sweat from my hands a few times when I doing final turn in for bard epic!
