Re-apply the patch, make sure to overwrite existing files

Sometimes something wonky happens even if you do it correct and doing it again helps

Kavious, thank you for your reply. Could you (or someone) please be more specific about how to "re-apply the patch?" I am trying to read FAQs etc about how to re-apply a patch but am struggling to find this information. I have the same error as OP.

Thank you!

I just extracted the file to my C:\Sony\EverQuest folder.

I had to manually copy all the files and paste them directly into the folder overwriting the old ones before it would work. Try that.

We just had a patch last night and you will need to download the latest patch P99Files 56. Download it and under your download page click it to open it up to see the files and folders of the patch then hit "Ctrl A" to highlight all files then "Ctrl C" to copy all files then open up your P99 directory whatever you called it then double click Sony folder to open it then double click EverQuest folder to open it and now you should see all the EQ folders and files, hit "Ctrl V" to paste the patch folders and files into EverQuest, click the option in the window when it pops up "Replace the files in the destination." Then you should be good. Any problems check out El Hefe on youtube for his EQ install videos.

The Ctrl A, Ctrl C, Ctrl V way is the best way to avoid copying your patch to the wrong spot which I used to do. Just make sure you opened up the Sony folder then the Everquest folder before hitting Ctrl V.

Thank you so much for taking the time to specifically help! The manual ctrl A, C, V worked when extracting directly did not! I'm back in [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].
