Default Instruction at 0x0000000 referenced memory error...

Dang it, right when I thought I was going to hop on for the first time tonight, this error pops up... Windows - Application Error "The instruction at 0x00000000 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read..." Any reason why this is happening? Anyone else experience this before? Any input is much appreciated! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

UPDATE: Got everything going, but now trying to figure out updating the spell files so I can log in-game. Tried following the instructions, but still saying outdated spells in character creation...

Is everquest installed in c:\program files\ or c:\program files(x86)\ ?

If so, you will probably have to move it out of that folder (or turn UAC off, but really it's a better idea to just install it to c:\everquest or something similar), and then patch.

Hi ressurecting this dead post to say, how did you get your eq to work? A friend is having the same issue with all zeros, and we've pretty much exhausted every trick we could think of using google

Run as administrator. See if that works.
