I've stopped playing live but there's still a 50-50 chance I'll attend this year simply for the excuse to gamble and drink too much.

Fair warning, though, they advertised EQNext details the last two years and gave us absolutely shit for nothing on information other than to just say "nah, we want it perfect, so we started over, again".

If you showed up and just drank a bit in the convention area, you could easily migrate to any of dozens of parties after and find places to crash. It can be an extremely cheap trip and the closer you get to free, the more entertaining it is.

I don't expect much @ the Gamescom though, everything will happen at the SOE live
