A little anecdote on why I'm a total Red convert:
The other night I was in the Graveyard at Castle Mistmoore. I was grouped up with two Rouges, an Enchanter, a Cleric, and a Bard. I had the enviable group role of Ranger, playing main tank/puller. Killer team DPS, great EXP. Now here comes the Red part. The Gnome rouge, a guy I had grouped with earlier, starting making playful comments on general Ranger inadequacy. The next time I pulled from the pit, I rooted the mob halfway and made my usual running entrance through the gate. All my mates prepared for the monster but instead saw me alone sprint up to the Gnome, stand a moment for suspense, then kick the poor guy right in the head. I never swung a weapon or cast a spell. Just a single *You kick GnomeRouge for 8 points of damage!* He knew why I kicked him, and we had a laugh as my root broke and the mob came running. On many other occasions, when I was in a group with plenty of healing and downtime while mobs repopped, I'd fight other melees in the group to half health or so while we waited, often without warning them first. You can't be playful like that on Blue. | ||
