Contest - Fishing for a Fungus Covered Scale Tunic

I am giving away a Fungus Covered Scale Tunic to the first person who hands me 8 individual, unique fish from the Lakes, Rivers or Oceans of Norrath on July 15th. Examples of the kinds of fish I am looking for include: Koada Cichlid, Hound Pike, Clockwork Koi, etc. They don't necessarily have to be those fish in particular, but they must be 8 unique fish. Generic Fresh Fish don't count. See the Zone-Specific Fishing section of wiki.project1999.com/Fishing to see the kinds of fish I am looking for.

I will log on Ravager at 8:00PM CDT Saturday, July 15th on the shores of Inn Island in Ocean of Tears (#2 on the wiki map) for the hand-in.

I will be giving away some lesser prizes, too, EC Fatcat values from 1-4k, so bring some fish even if you don't think you can get the tunic. There is a 1 prize per person limit.

This contest is open to everyone of all levels, classes, races, guilds and affiliations. This server is great because of everyone here. Our collective love for this stupid game has made it something special.

The way I figure, only one person can open a trade box with me at once, so the first person to put 8 different fish in it wins it.

If there aren't 8 unique fish, I'll simply cancel and wait for the next attempt.

Its a dream come true for all adventurers who wished their fishing adventure in Norrath was more rewarded. Player run server events are awesome and part of the great community here.

Just curious if anyone knows are there poles that grant added fishing prowess?

Great idea Ravager, I wont be competing but I definitely want to see it go down. I hope some poor noob wins, not some uber twinked 7th alt.

I have a toon with max fishing for Cobalt Cod and I had no idea you could fish in Kedge or some of the other places on the list. Is it specified that the fish have to be "reeled in" and not the fish you loot like Rivervale trout? Using the looted fish seems like it would be cheating.

Ancient Fishing Pole from SG has a +fishing mob on it, it's no drop though.
