The early era they had no clue how it would all play out. With AA they came to be pretty awesome.
I’m under the impression these first two xpacs was a total shot in the dark when it comes to development etc. doubt they hated hybrids but was unsure how to balance them compared to the pure classes. | ||

Class “balancing” was an ongoing activity. I don’t think anyone ever was truly happy. Remember when SKs finally got more necro-like mana pools? That was a big help. But sometimes it was at the expense of other classes. I can’t sure anything right now though. Fuzzy old man memory.
But yeah, AAs were ultimately an equalizer of sorts. Of course then the truly dedicated/hardcore/sad players loaded the shit out of AAs and created a different kind of chaos. | ||
