TBH, they probably made more money by doing Fippy the way they did, instead of doing it right. Why waste talent on a 12 year old game when you have new games in development?

Also, does anyone know how to claim the free PS3 games from the PSN outage?

Doh (kinda), I've had a PS3 for a year and a half but never bothered to setup a PSN account. so I [lose](win) [out] on [getting the free games](not having my personal info stolen).
