Never heard this argument before, what do you think of posters who complain of others complaining? I bet you never heard that counter-argument before have you? Have You!?

didn't think so.
It's just so tiresome to see idiots doing nothing but admitting they're afraid and then doing absolutely nothing to change anything

Nobody looks into root causes, nobody is talking about structural change. They just want to stay angry and afraid of everything

It's miserable and it's contagious. It's like a room full of angsty fourteen year olds

Imagine being locked into a small room with no exit: with you are a born-again christian, a vegan, a pot head, a trans and a guy who is into Cross-Fit and Karl Marx.

Welcome to American politics, the only system of governance designed specifically so that nothing can possibly ever get done

you wouldn't like my system of gov't

Political issues are decided by popular vote, and enforced with fascist efficiency and brutality.

Benevolent Fascism: every single public issue is decided by popular vote with biometrics at government built and controlled facilities, like prisons. You'd think twice about your vote, if you had to cast it on "D" block.

one thumbprint = one vote

Then, whatever the popular vote decides, regardless of how ridiculously stupid, is imposed upon the nation with unwavering authoritarianism.

The gov't assumes no responsibility for policy dictation, only enforcement.

Anything can go to popular vote, We'll appropriate change.org or some shit like that.

The nation votes to outlaw firearms? Well then this gov't will kick in your doors and take your guns, if you resist, we'll nail your doors and windows shut and set your house on fire.

The nation votes in favor of LGBT rights? well then anyone who speaks a word to the contrary after voting is finished will be sent to gulag.

The nation votes a blanket abortion outlaw? We'll apply that retroactively, and arrest any woman who ever had an abortion. They go to gulag.

The nation votes that capuchin monkeys are the national mascot? Sorry about your luck bald eagle, you go to gulag.

The nation votes that all drugs should be legal? Fuckin A bruhs, smoke em if you got em!!! but if you're found overdosed on a park bench, you go to gulag.

You start some company that grows so big, it ends up dictating national policy within its own sphere of influence? We'll nuke your fuckin' company. Literally. Nuke. Then we'll pick you up from your 100 million dollar estate and you go to gulag.

The nation votes that climate change is too big of a problem to ignore anymore, well then we're going to declare that no fires can occur anywhere, ever again. No gas engines, no gas stoves, no campfires. If a lightning strike starts a wildfire, mother nature goes to gulag.

Actually, maybe this could work...
