Do you conservative dudes actually boycott these brands you disapprove of?
I have a few I tend to avoid based on this or that. Not always perfectly. Telling a group of southerners at work that you prefer not to give Chik-fil-A money is a good conversation starter.

To my knowledge Chik-fil-A years ago stopped donating to the “anti-lgbt” agencies it had been like I believe one was save the family or something, there’s many news articles about it
They seem to be doing more than fine. Their lines in my state wrap around the parking lot, they are absolutely slammed most of the day like In and Out Burger. I personally refuse to go there only because it’s too long of a wait and I think their food is overpriced
I think boycotts work or don’t work depending on how much extra business the “negative publicity” brought. The problem is, the progressive Twitter sphere is not as large as people think it is, they are basing their idea of its size on its political influence which is actually really large. If changes to LOTR come up on Twitter and causes every progressive Twitter user to go “hey I gotta check that show out now” to counter-act every GOP or moderate fan who has decided they won’t watch it, that might not be enough
I’m a little more open minded. I might still watch or buy something if the product is super quality even if they have gotten political
