Clearly too lazy to double check whether one's opinion is actually true (and didnt cite a source):
https://www.oecd-ilibrary.org/sites/...nt/e2352f43-en

And thats just the middle class not even combined with the lower class.
The rich are carrying this country’s government on their backs in terms of tax revenue

“Only 1.4% of the $1.45 trillion in taxes paid in 2017 was contributed by taxpayers earning less than $30,000, according to the Pew Research Center.4

It should also be noted that many taxpayers in this income group received income from the government in the form of those refundable tax credits—the IRS paid out about $62 million in earned income tax credits in 2020. The average payment to qualifying taxpayers was $2,461.6”

“A study by the Tax Foundation breaks down taxpayers into just two groups: the top 50% of earners and the bottom 50%. The lower half included taxpayers with AGIs of $41,740 or less in 2017. The Tax Foundation found that this lower 50% demographic contributed just 3% of taxes paid in 2017.1

The 2018 edition of the same study indicated that the bottom half of taxpayers paid an effective tax rate of 3.7%. Those with AGIs falling between $50,000 and $100,000, which could be considered middle income, paid an effective rate of 9.25%. AGIs of $139,713 to $197,651 paid an average effective rate of 14%.7”

“The Tax Foundation’s study concluded that 96.9% of all 2017 income taxes were paid by the higher-earning 50% of taxpayers”

“ The Pew Research Center study indicates that taxpayers earning between $200,000 and $500,000 annually paid an effective tax rate of 19.4% in 2015. Their income taxes represented 20.6% of the total taken in by the IRS. This decreased to 17.9% of the total taxes paid at an effective tax rate of 26.8% for those with incomes between $500,000 and $2 million”

They went to visit them in jail? I guess that means they completely support everything they did and all of their ideas. I won't look for a higher resolution explanation, like maybe they felt they might have been unfairly castigated by the entire media establishment and wanted to speak to them directly. No, they must think insurrection = good!

Meanwhile still not saying peep about BLM murdering and burning and looting and rioting.

That 2T will go RIGHT back into the economy, because lower and middle class spend the majority of their income (unlike the rich). Money well spent.
Remember when republicans spent 8 trillion in the past 4 years now cry about money?? LOLOLOL

Thats exactly what it means, yes. Showing support for people who wanted to take control because of an election they didnt like. Who are now intimidating school teachers and board members, showing up at state capitals with guns, hitting flight attendants and making death threats to election officials.

Yeah those people, your people.

ter·ror·ism
/ˈterəˌrizəm/

the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

What the hell are you talking about? People have every right to show up to *public* school board meetings, who they directly fund through tax dollars, and express their discontent with patently racist and divisive ideas being pumped into the impressionable brains of 8 year olds. Yes, call me crazy but I think that's bad.

Anyone making death threats to anyone else I condemn fully. But you're just conflating that with other people, who are *not* making death threats, and simply have completely reasonable grievances.

Also, going to talk to people in jail is not the same as supporting them. It's going to talk to them, to refine what the actual truth is. I know rachael maddow thinks they are super-mega-nazis, but maybe they aren't? Maybe we should care about what is true, and not just what feels good or confirms our political priors?
