No one cares about their level one being killed...just restrict it to 6+ and when they get banned it will cost them time. Of course, the fatslob neckbeard doing it over and over leveling to 6 just to spam can't be stopped, but it's better than letting these inbreds do it from 1 onward freely.

I agree. Enabling OOC and YT is going to draw what type of player to the server? What type of player is going to be turned off by the idea? Do we want a more VZTZ type of experience as a draw, or do we want alternatives to draw other types of players?

Also, if you do implement it and think for a minute that you're going to effectively moderate it without someone sitting in the channel 24/7...you're going to be heartbroken.

I understand why people want it and why people don't. I'll play either way. But think very hard about the BIG picture before anything is done.

ah, there we go. Put a lvl restriction on it and flag them for unrestricted pvp for 5mins after each comment posted in global ooc.

Global OOC did not exist on live vz/tz/rz server in 1999 or onward.

lvl 32 paladin very nicely equipped can be /roll for day one this goes into effect. thought this was a classic server. with the exploits, the hand holding, and shit server is going to hell. yellow text, cool. Irc chat for finding groups, understood. Global ooc ruining classical immersion because people want to cause drama, troll, and find groups?

Thats basically it though isint it? The trolls who want global /ooc are the same ones who don't really like EQ, just EQ's unique enviorment that allows a metric ton of grief on others.

They dont want global /ooc so "they can find groups" they want global /ooc so they can take their evergrief to a new level.

Some of us here love Everquest. The world, the game system, etc. The pvp adds to it.

Then there are the bros that just like the platform to cause grief. They are the ones that are constantly taking dumps on EQ's "PvE" and "grind".

Someone just open up a new VZTZ for them, and leave the rest of us to enjoy a traditional 1999 rallos zek server without them.
