How easy is it to come back? 8 year Vet

My WoW account just got banned out of the blue so a big Fuck You to blizzard. I always loved oldschool EQ and since I cant afford to pay for anything else figured I would return. I played from 2000-2008 and had various 70+ characters monk,mage,shaman,ranger,SK.

Im just scared the controls are gonna be awkward and I remember actually dieing to even con mobs when i first started playing EQ. Are there any leveling guilds out there that could help and old vet? I dont want plat or handouts just some groups to get the exp flowing. I will probably be online for 7-9 hours a day so lots of playtime. Havent decided on class yet but was thinking maybe wizard, SK, or necro.

Out of curiosity, what did you get banned for? They don't just ban accounts without saying anything. What was their justification?

And there's no such thing as leveling guilds asaik. Best bet is just finding a regular guild and getting help from the higher lvls. I didn't join a guild til I was 20 or so, there are enough low levels around still that finding a group isn't too much of a hassle.

Also, there are enough people across pretty much all level ranges that you shouldn't have many problems finding a group, which makes it all that much easier to get back into the swing of things.

How long does leveling take? Before I quit I was able to hit level 50 in like 18 hours played just soloing using lots of damage shield pots. I guess 2-3 levels a day would be a safe bet?

It obviously can't be modeled using a linear function. I do about a level a day, but then again I haven't found a job yet.

2-3 levels a day yeah for 1-30

after 30 it takes a lot longer.

especially if stuff is still new to you.

you'll probably have at least 10 days played before you hit 50.
