I am also interested in hearing more about this server. This server was shut down before I was into eqemu. What are the server rules as far as pvp deaths and is it free for all or teams?

I did a quick search and didn't come up with anything. I figured some of you vztz vets could enlighten me.

I'm just curious; why would you play this over Red99? It seems to me that you already have a perfectly good PvP "box". Why would a new VZTZ be better?

I'm not sure. I was just asking because I am curious about the pvp rules. Population is the most important thing but pvp rules are a close second. I don't like the rules on this server but its quality and population that keep me here. I actually enjoyed LoZ when it had a good population. Yellow text and no exp penalty on death are a big deal to me. Item loot is another thing I would love and haven't experienced since playing on live.

If the server had rules I enjoyed I might even play both at the same time. It gets boring soloing on this server and since I quad I have long downtime.

It was guild vs guild, no additional penalty for pvp death, you'll just be leaving a corpse.

Boxing was allowed, up to two toons.

So you want to play there just because you can box, and die without xp loss? Kinda seems like a poor reason to leave Red99 to me :/

I was responding to a question put forth by a previous poster not describing my desire to play there.

Since you're trying to pick a fight I guess i'll point out one plus one equals two and if those had been my reasons you would be communicating that message poorly by describing both as one as you just have you stupid fuck.

For reallies though, VZ/TZ also had a much better experience rate, had far more pvp, had yellow text, and I did not eat roots all day long just cause nilbog decided to stop working on a half assed resist code.

Still I think my eq time is over. This server really took it out of me. I don't know how I played for 13 years and didn't lose it but coming here really put the nail in the coffin for me.

This server has been very unfun, it is filled with people who don't have fun playing the game but can't stop and it is run by cunt staff who arbitrarily ban people without any discussion before or after.

Yeah and I've talked to pal Null before. He did the most he could with the time he had, for free as far as I know.

He took a nonexistant system and actually got a bunch of spell lines right.

But don't point any fingers at him, this isn't his project, he doesn't get all the glory.

He's busy now and if you want things fixed, well, point the finger somewhere else because he got things off the ground and doesn't have time for more.

P99/R99 have this same feature, instead of a global message (and if i remember it hurts your hp/mana), it simply gives you a "Large Warp Detected" message. because lag effects that detector. it always has and always will based on its design, and the amount of false positives it generates is the reason it will not be used in that fashion on P99/R99
