no spell effect after reinstalling on new PC.
the game is detecting my 3080 ti and my spell effects are all on in Display. Opacity is at 100%, /showspelleffect is on, I cant think of any other way to try. Other than maybe reinstalling everything. Could it be the patch files i dropped in corrupted in the EQ folder?

Dgvoodoo2 can help modern cards work better with older games. If it doesn't improve things for you, just delete the dll's from your eq folder.

Make sure spellsnew.edd and spellsnew.eff files from the patch made it into your directory. Also check that the spelleffects in the resources folder were updated from the patch. If any if those updates were blocked, they won’t work.
