The Age of Blood
A bards tale passed down from Itunz to Modd to You!
The Last Gods' Arrival In the realm of Norrath, as dust settled low, The last gods descended with powers aglow; Mithaniel Marr, god of Valor, and his twin sister fair, Erollisi Marr, goddess of Love, did they dare. The Rise of the Barbarians With their divine strength and unyielding might, They created a race with hardiness in sight; The Barbarians, resilient and strong, settled near, Where ancient ruins lie, once home to the Giant's empire. Youngest Race Amongst Being youngest amongst Norrath’s races true, They were unwashed, rugged, with few social graces too; A warlike culture flourished, bred in their blood, But some believed in something beyond the flood. Opportunity Amidst Decline In a time where other civilizations waned and faded, This small minority of Barbarians took courage; unafraid, They saw an opportunity to rise from the ashes of old, Perhaps inspired by the Marr Twins or guided by fate, untold. The Seeds of Wisdom As these wise few spread out across lands far and wide, Warring with others and their own brethren alike; A small movement grew, even as war and devastation reigned - Hope emerging amidst the bloodshed, no longer restrained. The Birth of Humankind From this enlightened group of Barbarians rose, The humans, a race destined to conquer and to pose; They embraced lost arts like geomancy with great zeal, And quickly gained foothold, far beyond Norrath's appeal. The Combine Empire Spreading throughout the known world, the Combine Empire did grow, But their existence was brief, as it quickly declined and slow; The reasons still unknown, their history now scarce and few, Though they are ancestors to every human on Norrath anew. Relics and Ruins Through Odus and Faydwer, ruins and relics abound - A testament to the lost legacy of this Combine ground; Their influence may be gone, but their echoes still remain, In each human life, a memory etched in Norrath's refrain. The Echoes of an Age Past Though much of that time is shrouded in mystery and lost lore, The Age of Blood lives on, whispering through each battle roar; A legacy of courage and wisdom, forged amidst the strife - An eternal reminder of how one small seed can change a life. | ||
