Default Magician Epic Pet Speed

SOW speed should be innate and when velocity is casted on it, it should run even faster. Here is the reference:

Here's another reference on zam. The reference states an "even con" mage, so lvl 50-51 it would not have velocity.

Posted Dates of 2009 and 2003? Good luck, but you won't get anywhere with the research you have provided.

i figure it would be somewhat valid unless something changed on patch notes, which i'm still trying to dig up.

Velocity was faster than sow already but this fucker was indeed special.

I'd say that's enough evidence to patch in but... that's me trying to make things "more classic".

What <Nilberg and Pals> will want is a speed comparison of an unbuffed pet of some kind.

IE:
Nirgon school of thought: Make the pet a little faster until more evidence is given (make it more classic)

Nilbog school of thought: Don't patch it in until we get something exact

Both have there merits... and subsequent costs of free time (read: going back and redoing something).

This won't be settled by patch notes pal. I've offered my memory of fighting this pet many times. It was faster compared to the other mage pets, but by no means had innate SoW speed. It was very, very magic resistant compared to others. I'd say like 1/5 roots stuck versus every single one. Also, the point to consider here (and possibly the reason for its "innate resistance") is it conned much much higher than other pets iirc.

I'm not sure if the damage shield was dispelled or not, but Kringe's Velious geared (Breastplate of Eradication, full Kael, many ToV pieces, primal) warrior beat this fucker 1v1 by a nose.

I spent some time recently researching this pet because it came to my attention that the thing was enraging in game.

So far:

Magician Epic pet should run about as fast as jboots.
Magician Epic pet should not enrage at low health.
Magician Epic pet will be slightly more magic resistant.

Fixed, pending update.

Sent this to Kanras last summer.

You might want to check with him before changing, he might have some other evidence of it enraging.
