Default Do you think it is socially acceptable for to be proud in being white?

Stated a bit more clearly: is it socially acceptable for a white person to express their pride in being white?

Secondly, do you think it is socially acceptable for black people to be proud of being black?

I am mostly interested in hearing if anyone thinks the answer to one of these is yes and the other is no and can say why that is the case.

Finally, if you think it is unacceptable to even ask such questions please state why in your flame.

I think its a bit stupid to be "proud" of your race, something completely out of your control. Be proud of personal accomplishments instead. Having said that I don't think you can say one group is allowed to be proud of their race and another isn't.

This is a very common argument that really doesn't make sense to me. While not in your personal control, your parents on the other hand were in complete control. Their decision to further their family and race in creating you was definitely not random. They are a part of you, as is their parents and so forth.

Is it also stupid to be proud of, say, the lunar landing? You had no hand in it, but it is definitely a part of you. What emotion should people feel?

Being proud of the lunar landing is more centered toward being proud that the human race has been there. At least my thoughts on it.

the human race didn't get there, the white race did. I didn't see any africans or sand people building space ships to play on the moon.
