Why no mez? because the fights will last forever (and will anyway, without mez, but even longer with).
I sort of understand why, but at the same time, the best enchanter will have the highest charisma and their mez will be the most deadly weapon in their arsenal, so why not let them take advantage of that. If one chanter mezzes the other, that gives them time to sit and med I guess, which would be kinda lame, but still, it's the defining ability of the class, I think it would make things way more interesting. ;P | ||

I think it's more of an adhoc type botb since this isn't how it was on live. Either coding random npcs to spawn in the area will take too much time, or having GMs summon random npcs and making them cast spells isn't really equal on all grounds so they had to approach it as a normal botb and using the old botb rules? who knows
