Some sled dogs watched me curiously as I tried to stand up out of the snow but my balance was too poor. I fell back over and dropped my stein on the ground, draining what was left of my ale. Probably for the better...
Yah...but those Barbarian women at The Bound Mermaid..they make it all worth it.

It gets dark. Underneath the canopy in these rent and smoldering woodlands the night falls early and falls deep. It's within my blood to maintain a clear sight in these cases, but I've heard of traveling Humans becoming lost and disoriented. Prey for the Wurms that stalk the trees, so I do what I can to thin their numbers.

It must have some kind of significance. I assumed it was a sculpture, but I could have been convinced a powerful Wizard simply turned a live brood into frozen obsidian. The orb pulsed with an unnatural light. It seemed to me I could hear faint growling from the platform. I kept moving.

Many works of stone and wood are abandoned to the wastes of time in the Timorus Deep. The people from the cities make use of sailing boats that cross these waters but stray not from the docks. There are many secret places, little alcoves, quiet homesteads... Above and below the waves are things few have seen and fewer understand.

I have always felt an affinity for the rolling dunes of Ro. It's my understanding that beneath the shifting sands lie ruins of the greatest Elvish society to have lived on Antonica. Its still possible to see some of their masoncraft protruding from the ground. It was a forest of particular beauty with abundant life. Today there is nothing but the wastes wrought by divine wrath...

I had finally reached my limits. The Druids taught me all they could. I could not imagine how my strength might go beyond what I possessed already. Instructed in the arts of martial combat as I was, my masters told me there was nothing left to teach. I was a true Warder, a soldier of the Surefall Glade. With my weapons light in hand I would demonstrate the will of Karana.
