Mana VS Wis
Hey Guys,
On Blue, I prioritized Wisdom over all else on my Druid, and it cost me big bucks (but I was happy). On Green, I'm suddenly wondering if mana is the way to go in certain slots instead? Using cloaks as an example, the Mammoth Hide Cloak is AC 7 WIS 4 for 1500p, and I just picked up an Onyx Drakescale Cloak for 500p today, at AC 8 MANA 35. Isn't the Onyx cloak almost 100% better? Next example, Ivory Bracelet vs Runed Mithril Bracer; MANA 20 for 25p vs WIS 5 for 1000p (I know the AC and STR makes the mithril wildly better, but look at that price difference). My Druid is 43, I estimate I'm getting 4-5 mana per wisdom point? Other example: Hollowed Bone vs Platinum Armband? Let me know if I'm totally off base, but I feel like I'm saving a ton of plat gearing my toon this way. Drawbacks may just be tradeskill up rate? Eager to hear your thoughts, thanks for reading- Broor

At 50 I think it's 10 mana per wis/int for casters?
So that's a good rule of thumb to go with. Take the bracers for example the 5 wis would be tentamount to approximately 50 mana, vs the 20, is 30 mana worth 1k to you? One question I have is, is there additional bonuses you get from having 200 wis/int vs 170? I'm not sure about that.

I just searched these very forums for wisdom mana formula and quickly saw the following thread.
https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=161975 It depends on level. At low levels, +mana items are way better. As time goes on, wisdom becomes comparably better and some pieces may grant more mana than whatever direct mana is available in the same slot. After 200 wisdom, there are diminishing returns. You have to do the math to calculate the difference between X wisdom and Y direct mana.

That formula (WI+10)*level/5 seems pretty accurate, thanks Videri. At my level (43), it looks like every 1 mana gives me ~8 mana, so I should start investing in wisdom on the slots like belt and arms where I can't get a big mana number. I've got some number crunching and cost analysis to do...

Tradeskill skillups would benefit more from wis/int, not sure if that's important to you.

Have you hit 200 WIS yet? If yes then use +mana items until you can get raid gear (that has stats and mana). If no take stats always. Stats always increase mana until you level max. Also why buy? The two items you compared HBB vs PA are both attainable by you at 43. Hell I got my own Hollowed Bone Bracers at 35 solo.
