I'm not surprised, but it's sad that more people haven't said this. VTM:B had such potential, nearly ruined by a rushed shoddy release (the fault of the publisher, not the devs). But with the fan made patches it's truely a great game with massive replayability. If anyone owns a copy you should really check out the latest patches by "wesp5", find them on planetvampire.com.

Other games I keep going back to, which must mean they're good in some way:

EQ (of course)
Final Fantasy 7 (yeah I'm not hardcore enough to like the earlier ones!)
Ocarina of TIme
Eternal Darkness
Halo (good for a bit of co-op with the wife, oo er missus)
Dark Souls

The people who invented the first space ships were brilliant. That doesn't mean anybody should actually want to use them 200 years later. Ideas are limited by means of execution. Everquest has amazing ideas that need to be completely reworked in their execution, in order for classic Everquest as it was envisioned to actually exist and continue to be relevant as things have evolved.

Without a doubt. How I found out and began playing EQ to begin with. No gaming experience will surpass the amount of time spent/enjoyment of the OGL/TWL ladders.

So to Jeremy's point: Billards... I have a pool table right next to my gaming PC so I can play while camping shit.

Main Point:
RPG: Super Mario RPG, Secret of Mana, All Final Fantasy's, Dragon Warrior, Mystic Quest, Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire, Earthbound, sure I am missing a ton...

RTS: Age of Empires 2, Warcraft 3, Total Annihilation, Command & Conquer: Red Alert, Civilization, Populas?

FPS: Quake w/OPEN GL!, Quake 3, Counter Strike, Tribes, Unreal Tournament, Descent, Team Fortress, Team Fortress 2.

Basically every game everyone has played. But Favorite games of all time: EQ, WoW, Final Fantasy 2, Earthbound.
