I wonder if these 13,000 kids are getting an education and learning the pledge of allegiance each day. What's going to happen once they are turned lose? Are we literally creating a group of stateless children without any kind of cultural identity or grounding other than chattel that we can't politically kill or euthanize because of bad press? What happens when we can't afford/justify this politically anymore? I don't think the situation is being handled well. Speaking as a kid who was institutionalized, I don't think this is good. Nor merciful. | ||
