At least on Phinny it's out and the open, and everyone can do it or not, however they feel morally about it.

Here, we all have to pretend it doesn't happen, and all the profits go to a select few.

it happens anyways, atleast krono gives the player some power to profit from RMTers instead of allowing them to just inflate the value of plat on the server.

Plat doesn't gain/lose value (on phinny) with RMTers just existing and doing their thing. It does so by people pressing BUY NOW and a krono is brought into the world then sold for plat or traded for items.

You could argue that a mob dropping an item is basically the same thing, but this krono shit is one the fly. It would be like pressing the Fungi Tunic button and suddenly one shows up in your inventory. Then just do that 1000x times and watch the market fizzle.
