It is! I suck at putting so doing the auto 1-putt thing lowers my score by up to 10 (winter-dead greens-no putting). My post was a little confusing.

If you know you suck at putting you should score accordingly instead of pretending you landed every putt.

Can't really score accordingly if the greens have sandy spots everywhere. I hit alot of putts within 10 ft anyway. It's the longer ones that give me problems. I'm a sling in the hole type of guy so my shorter putts don't break alot. That attitude with the longer putts is very bad though. My math is a little off too. Not putting is closer to -15 strokes than -10.

If taking a 1 putt on every hole only lowers your score 10 strokes, you're not bad at putting.
