One of the first things Trump said after inauguration was that he wasn't pursuing this, despite the fact that millions of American's wish he would. I'm guessing some sort of deal was struct behind closed doors.

There was some grumbling again when Comey testified a month or so ago that Lynch shut him down when he got concerned about her meeting with Bill Clinton privately on the tarmac. But again, there is nothing. There had have been a deal.

Certainly no deal with Trump. Clinton pushed Russia collusion and broke the Russian story first.

Now instead of the GOP having a chip aligned and ready to play (Clinton Foundation grand jury) they have nothing to prevent the Nose from going under.

Trump will be indicted. His legislative agenda is a failure so far, and its even more of a failure post-indictment. He might not get those 4 more years if he can't get anything done. Sacrificing leverage on the Clinton investigation was the beginning of the end.

Trump is a donkey for installing an Attorney General who would not line the chips up to protect his interests.
