There is a difference between regular RMT and leaders or officers in charge of loot distribution doing RMT. If people are selling pixels that 80 people are working for and are no drop it effects more than just the seller and buyer. If someone is farming plat to sell it doesn't really effect anyone besides the buyer and seller outside of slight economy inflation.
If GMs believed the guy who had a stranglehold on all end game content and was selling the right to participate in end game no drop loot that is good reason to IP ban him. That is the fear of a leader being involved in RMT. Not saying it was that severe but I get the IP ban.

All it takes is for one of the old VZ/TZ crew to text or call a certain head of staff (yes some people actually have his irl phone number -can provide chat log evidence) and guess what? All that play time and ip masking has gone down the gurgler.

You are putting words in my mouth rhettiwalk, you can use incognito forum accounts to spam the forums and feign public opinion. Only gm staff would tell that your doing it because they don't list IP on posts publicly.
