Duos done with Archalen. I never really attempted many of these, so the only duo of note was the spore king, which we used to do a decent amount. The first one I actually attempted solo on Contemptor was Estrella, just because I spend so much time in kedge. Me and Arch first duoed her in the lower 50s, which took ages of prep and several attempts. Tried a few times previously, and with my prep I ended up screwing up, having my pet run off, or getting other mob agro. I finally got a solo off on her last night.

Attempt 1- Gate at ~20%. Summoned me to her lair, so I had to cap out. I nuked too much at the beginning when my pet was doing fine, I should've timed them better.
Attempt 2- Charm broke early, I attempted to re-charm with strings since it was late and I was tired, and accidentally charmed estrella. Fail. At that point my former pet shark was eating me alive. Zoned out.
Attempt 3- Killed her in a fairly easy fight. My pet was probably 65% and I was at 35m or so, and started at about 75 due to pet buffs and an add I had to kill before Estrella.

I took screenshots and logs, then realized after they didn't save. Pretty disappointing. I guess it requires administrator, which I used to use with the eqemulauncher, but hadn't done when I recently switched to the eqgame shortcut.

Well, Rak'Ashiir bit the dust vs me and Liia. Unfortunately the Maurice Method no longer works; Rak'Ashiir and Ghiosk are now both MR immune like Neh'Ashiir (as they should have been from the beginning). It was actually an interesting fight because charm broke (and after Rak had pushed the goo into the water; I was slacking there because I really wasn't expecting a charm break on a L45 pet with -30MR in gear) but Liia somehow managed to DA long enough for the pet to run back around the moat, eat a puppet strings charge, and proc a few stuns. Otherwise it was quite an easy fight and totally possible without using the strings or BP.

I think it *might* be possible to chain pet him (according to logs he did about 20k damage before he bit the dust, so 4-5 pets) but if he happens to aoe during the break an enchanter is going to bite the dust. Probably yet another one of those god mode fights where the elusive shaman-with-puppet-strings class excels. I don't think I'll be trying it again for a while; I thought Liia and Sakuragi could spawn Rak easily, but it turns out it takes a Warrior quite a while to beat down 22 black reavers, even with haste/ds pots most of the time.

Challenge Rules Change
In general I love the removal of invis pulls because it makes the game much more interesting. Many camps are a lot of fun now instead of mindless farms, with the spore king being the prime example (it amazes me that more people don't do it; even with a full group it's not bad cash and a lot of fun!). However, for the purposes of this challenge I think it's a bit unfair that guys like me and Svenn can get a whole bunch of kills with invis pulls that are now completely impossible. So, the new rule is:

You may obtain pull help for any Solo God/Duo GM kill and above. Both invis/assisted pulls should be marked by a * on the sheet.

New rules change is pretty cool - good adaptation due to invis pulling being nerfed. Was a lot of fun watching your solo kill attempt and completed duo kill, congrats to you both.

And yes, pinus is a tool lol.

Not as a druid [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]. Unless you are referring to my low level attempts to duo- pulling Estrella itself wasn't the hardest part for us then.

I couldn't land magic on Rak before. How many attempts did you make to charm Ghiosk? He's a very weird NPC to charm - it might take a few attempts.

Checking my logs, only one. He resisted 5-6 mezzes, 2 roots, and 1 charm (completely resisted). The only spell I could land on him was Rapture. I couldn't even land that on Rak.

His behavior on charming was really weird. I remember when I first tested him, my first Boltrans landed, but I couldn't replicate the charm for a bunch of attempts until I recreated exactly how I engaged him from the first. Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly how it worked, but it was something out of the ordinary to land charm him (could have been just resist luck). Try doing it in/out of melee range and in/out of combat.

PS:
Mo - Spore King [S*], Neh'Ashiir [S] - no filthy minuses on any kills but Emperor! Also seems odd to *Rak'Ashiir kills and not Neh'Ashiir kills since solo spawning Rak is impossible, while solo spawning Neh'Ashiir is very doable.

k, fixed that. Did you use the Wand of Allure? It isn't on the list and I'm not sure whether it should be, since getting an instant charm for an enchanter isn't nearly as unbalancing as a pet for a shaman, but most of my S- kills are strings.

I soloed Neh's reaver for my reaver kill, so I'm totally sure I could spawn her, but I was starting to run out of pets even after only one reaver. I suppose with enough patience i could get her completely solo.
