Default chat channels?

now, let me start off by saying I know I am going to get jumped, flamed, and tore apart for even suggesting or bringing up something that is not classic and came in later on in eq, that being said...

have adding the chat channels that were added later on in EQ been considered for use here? especially since global OOC is gone, it could really help LFG folks, help people to keep in touch etc, granted it could and inevitably would be used to make communicating on a raid that much easier which would be far from classic, but I think it would be worth that trade off to have a LFG channel, and a auction channel, and be able to make a channel with friends /join jimsfunhouse etc.

I think the positives of adding the chat channel system would far out weight the negatives, that is assuming of course its just as simple as turning the feature on, which I will admit, I have no clue about.

IMO the biggest negative would be the detrimental effects it would have on EC tunnel.

That's a cool feature of this server I would never want to give up.

how about group invites across zonelines to at least make planning out where to go and what to do easier then having 6 different tells going if you do happen to find a group? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

/invite + CotH would trivialize quite a bit.

meh, as much as I would love /invite I dindt even think about it being abused with CoTH, then again at the same time mage + rogue can do something similar, or just have mage + group leader at zoneline and group leader invites new people for coth.

/invite would make it that much easier though.
