As far as I know, it is not possible with Titanium onward. Maybe a fix for it will be found somewhere.

IIRC, the classic client would/could misbehave & crash when rendering dropped coin (don't ask me, I didn't code the thing) so Verant took the simplest available solution to the obvious ensuing CS headache by removing the feature. ("Griefers in classic EQ? why I never-") There might even be a patch message about it. Titanium client could have a similar flaw, judging by the "west bug" and the mouselook wonkiness that seems to be related to rendering NPCs and some terrain features (i.e. trees, buildings, etc.)

My understanding as to why they pulled coin dropping was a duping thing.

In the classic client every 5~min or so, you would get a message in your chatbox "YOURCHARACTER has saved.".

If you dropped coin and zoned just before or just after this and then disconnected or some combination of the above, the server would keep that coin on the ground, however it wouldn't have registered you dropped it so when you logged back in you would still have the coin in your inventory.

I vaguely remember reading a few posts about this. There's one or two on these boards and I think I found one on like eq stratics or something.

There were also a lot of scammers who had figured out how to make people drop their coin when they were trying to buy something (standing next to a campfire?). The coin would hit the ground and they'd scoop it it. The number of petitions was enormous.

My immersion is ruined without copper dicks lining the back of the tunnel.

I understand why we can't drop coins. But shouldn't we compromise and add a shared bank?

The logic in this post... I have no words.

No, shared bank is no compromise to having the inability to drop coins. Infact it wasn't until a few months after the shared bank was implemented that they added a platinum slot.

Shared bank is a post PoP addition and therefore not even remotely worth of being on this server.

Then drop them coins!

If you wanna plat transfer the closest thing is to buy a stack of gems and pay the transfer tax.

Only really works well for sums in the order of 100s of pp or less though (unless you drop a backpack full of rubies I guess ... imagine finding that [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]).
