You don't need to know much, but you need the Internet with Server, Decent Hardware, the EQ NPC Database, and all the manuals and shit that Alecta listed.
even then you'll spend most of your time troubleshooting and say fuck it. I hope that saves you some time. | ||

got mine running in less than a day, even had to troubleshoot the outdated install guide, also fixed the SQL errors on startup (before realizing I just needed to manually run the latest update scripts)
