Default I want to come play

I'm a pretty casual player, I play on my lunch breaks and at home for an hour or two.

This being the case I made a necro to solo on blue, but am not impressed with the infinite twinks and power lvling going on in every zone and from what I hear tough end game.

So, with the new exp boost it seems red may be fun to play on.

I'd love to make a meele character but am pretty sure it would be next to impossible to enjoy with the low pop and no money and not having hours to sit and regen 3hp/sec.

What it seems comes down to is mage or enchanter.
I dont want to play a druid or shaman if I can help it.

Are either of those classes fun/viable on a pvp server? Which one will be able to level the fastest?

Any opinions are appreciated.

Do an enchanter. More versatile at high level. Iksar necro will be good to solo with and not as good to PvP with....iksar monk not too bad solo.

Shaman and druid aren't really overplayed..if you want to play one of those classes..do it.

Enchanter easiest class, not a lot of them, and you need minimal gear.

One thing I've noticed with my enchanter here on red and back on Tallon Zek in the day: high MR kinda gimps us. A lot of our spells seem to be easily blocked by magic resistance. I'll have to see how it goes high end but when I'm up against a twink around my level with decent MR I only have one option - run.

Hmmm... that is kind of scary lol. I hear people talk about "broken resists" a lot but not sure how that applies to this server.

Maybe it gets better at higher levels when my Tash line gets better. Maybe I just need to experiment with spells a bit to see what (if any) of our spells are not as easily impacted by MR. Don't get me wrong, chanter is my favorite class. I love charm soloing and the value I bring to groups. I'm just not sure how to effectively pvp yet. I do know that back when I played on Tallon Zek one major fun aspect of playing a chanter was against heavy armor melee classes. If you can land the choke (suffocating sphere) dot (with a str debuff) and the two separate str debuff lines we have (I have to reteach myself which spells those are) you can lower a melee's strength so much they can't move in PvP with all their heavy armor.
