Default Crash at log out, anything to be done?

Is there anything that can be done about this? Never thought to ask before. Game crashes 90% of the time when camping /q ing out.

This is how you fix the crashes.

1.) Right click on eqgame.exe, click properties, then click on Compatibility tab, choose "Windows 95/98/ME"

2.) Edit LaunchTitanium.bat file to say this "cmd.exe /C Start /affinity 1 eqgame.exe patchme" without the quotes.

The above command specifies to run the game bound to processor 1 (single CPU).
The reason this works is because when this game was created CPUs were still single core, not dual/quad/octa core as they are today. Also you choose Windows 95/98/ME in compatibility because that OS only supported single CPU configuration.

Let me know how it works for you.

Also try download the default UI's from https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=11949

That seems to fix it for me.

What fixed that for me was to run in compatability mode and run as administrator. No more freezing up after that.

You are a wonderful human being. I've asked about this in various places and people always reply to me like I'm making shit up. After two years of dealing with this obnoxious bug it is now fixed. Thank you!

Hi,

I made these changes but it unfortunately seems to prevent the game from loading at all. The only other change I see is I get an alert about the file wanting to make changes to my hard drive (something along those lines) when I launch, but afterwards no loading seems to occur.

For what its worth, the compatibility mode I'm selecting is "Windows 98/ME", as I don't seem to have a combined 95/98/ME option. If you think that might have something to do with it please let me know.

Fortunately I only really have one character at the moment so it's not TOO annoying yet as I'm on my way out anyway, heh.
