I didn't see any official mention in this thread on how or if we are able to contest this.

I have however never paid real money for anything on P99 and I seem t have been banned.

I haven't even really played in a while competatively mostly just sitting in the EC tunnel from time to time.

I recently did trade an account which can be found documented here:

http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...d.php?t=105000

I collected 130k platinum from this trade which I conservatively spent about 20k of on random INT caster items for a few twink.

Were any others wrongly flagged by this recent ban wave?

Not sure what I'm suppose to do about this. Or if I have any way to submit an appeal.

Thanks,

Eric

You can submit your claim within the petition/exploit forum section and i don't know about this recent ban wave, but the one prior had false positives and hit some people that shouldn't have been banned. If you give your Login name and any evidence that proves you are innocent include that within the petition. The only ones who can see that thread will be the staff who is directly involved with enforcing or retracting said bans. They are very busy in that particular forum, in game, and IRL so it may take some time to hear back or get a solution worked out. Patience and maturity will help your cause though. Hope this helps!

I haven't even really played or logged in much since I sold my enchanter account. So I'm not sure which wave I got banned in. I just happened to be logging in to talk to a friend tonight and noticed the ban. Thanks for the info I'll post something in the petition section later today from work probably.

No clue if it helps (especially here) but I was in talks with mabbu on said account, and he turned down my offer, he stated in PM he sold it for 130k already.

I appreciate you taking the time to backup my story. Thank you sir.

I don't play here a lot though so I'm not going to be too bothered if I'm out of luck. I'll still logon casually.

Even before I installed Titanium EQ and stepped into the world of Project 1999 I knew, from the forums, No RMT. (Just like No Two-Boxing.) But I quickly learned that there's no reason to RMT anyway. The Project 1999 community is superior to the original EQ in that the majority of folk are very very kind and will help a newbie any way they can.

From my very first character, I've received lots of great newbie items and lots of plats whenever I'm in my newbie zone leveling. Once, I almost fell out of my chair laughing when, out of the blue, a dwarf inspects me and says: "Mother of God! A Real Newbie!!!" He then handed me 1,000 plats and ran off.

So I'm wondering if one point of your PSA is that I need to be careful because someone might give me plats or some item that came from someone who dealt with someone who got it from Platlord.

Last night a nice player gave away 1,000 plats each to 15 winners by /random 100. He also gave away several very nice items. I thought it was great fun, but I would not have participated if there was a chance that what I was really going to "win" was a ban from the game.

What would you advise? Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it. We can tell the difference, and receiving an item or platinum that was RMT related does not make you guilty unless you're the original receiver from the RMT account.

How to get accounts banned. Make a new account, buy plat, give out plat to (not so) random people. Get (not so) random people banned?
