Default Druids assisting animals in north karana

I vaguely remember that druid NPC's near the druid rings would assist animals against players who attacked them nearby. Anyone else remember this or am I just making things up in my head? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I had this happen to me a couple days ago in NK by the druids. Attacked a Silvermist Wolf and the ghetto druids attacked me.

Weird.

I was just in NK on my wizard and a lion attacked me. The druids didn't attack, which struck me as odd. Maybe its just certain animals then?

The only thing I remember was a named bear or wolf (he was aggressive to players) would attack people that were sitting at druid rings and if you touched him the druids and treants would all assist the animal against the player. I dunno about the rest of the animals.

Maybe it's only certain animals? I could see them assisting silvermist wolves but not lions.

Or maybe it's a relative faction thing? Were you on your druid?

This happened to a Gnome friend of mine the other day. Gruesome end to a bear attack.
