Default can i just drag the EQ folder to my new computer or do i have to reinstall?

Just got a new PC with Windows 7 on it and i want to put P99 on there, i have the discs if needed but someone said i can just transfer the EQ folder and im pretty much good?

I use WinEQ but that installs quickly and not a big issue.

Just copy your EQ folder over to the new machine, edit the shortcut for the new file path and you should be all set.

do not forget to make sure that the folder's permissions allow you full control in the folders after the move; windows messed up permissions in "Program Files (x86)" is the reason ppl say put everquest folder at C:\, instead of program files. (when it actually works fine in program filesx86, you just have to give yourself full permissions to everquest and it's subfolders/files)
