Login username/password
Hi there,
I am having some trouble changing the password associated with my in game login account. I made the account some years ago, back in 2010 when I was using a different ISP and therefore the email account attached to the login is no longer valid. When I try and use the link under "User CP" it asks for my old email address (which I know) but it send a confirmation email to that address which I can no longer access. When I try and change the email address linked to the user account I get the message "this function is no longer available" meaning I can't change the email address linked to the account and therefore can't change my login password. Does anyone have first hand experience with this, or is there any advice anyone can offer as to how to change my login account password and the email address linked to it? I have all the account details, including: - Username - current password - old email address Please help!

It's the biggest problem for a lot of old players with old accounts, there's no way of retrieval other than that email address iirc [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
These days there's the SMS authenticator, which is still a problem if people change phone numbers :/

did you try remembering what your password is?

When making one try to have it EQ themed and memorable, like a zone name with your year of birth, or something that springs to mind like "bdasucks" or "notllandris"

was in the same boat as you. no access to the gmail account since it was deleted. however I can able to change the password still. the user cp you describe is for the forum account. try changing the password at the loginserver part of the site. http://www.project1999.com/account/?LS
if the account is older, likely you need to change the password on the eqemu site and not project1999.com
