If these Raid Mob rotations become the norm...
Will we see a shuffling of guild members? If there are rotations and agreements, then what, everyone chooses to kill their rotated raid mob on prime time? I fail to see how this will work out for every last member of every single raiding guild. Euro's? Aussies?
Your thoughts please, I am really curious about this

This can be easily exploited. Imagine if aw/am made a guild just for their alts. Alt #1 is now in Mathafter. Alt #2 is now in Afterclass. Alt #3 is in Afterwork. The list goes on. It should be a sit on spawn/dps race for the most classic experience.

My god, this server is literal shit. Consider red. Then reconsider and just quit Everquest altogether because the server rules are garbage and Velious was already won

The raid system only works if you open another expansion to give the basement dwellers a place to move onto. They then clear out and it makes room for the next tier. If everyone just stops and "competes" for the same content, the logjam just multiplies and gets worse and worse. That's when you see the autism and asshattery that has become the norm at the top end of p99. Your choices are to leave the server, reroll and start the climb again, or jump on the crazy train.

More I think about it, it would be difficult to keep a lid on a major guild on rotation being a 'secret guild' that allows the big dawgs to get more spawns.
Word would leak out eventually (see Litigator for your <Law Offices of Norrath> needs) and shit storm would ensue. Guild could have charter pulled by GM or even raid suspend both guilds.

Killing targets asap based on RNG is the only "fair" way to avoid tensions of primetime favoritism that excludes many folks from"planned" raids.
The current rotations are strategic PR moves to unify against the servers most single capable raiding entity. All of these guilds have great people and great skilled players, with a few bad apples. The unfortunate side effect is you have a few loud mouth has-been ex-top tier raiders that are pixel dry in regards for themselves and their guilds so the trend is to point the finger to the top of the food chain and complain about the most capable lion eating the most in an open world environment. They are unable to succeed in the Everquest world compared to how they did in the past so the alternative to allow their frustrations to vent and mitigate internal guild future hopes and promises is to raid on the forums with endless arguments and politics tooth and nail which fabricates the "toxic" scene which some folks refer to. Sharing will work, for some time, but it will not successfully endure in this type of eco system. You simply have people that used to be at the top of the food chain that are no longer or unable to join the top due to their burned bridges and suffering the pains of an open world raiding environment. Planned raids and rotations will not, have not and cannot thrive on this server.

If they were to rotate say... WToV, NToV (minus Vulak and maybe 1-2 others), Dain, Yelinak and VP. These are all targets aimed at guilds full of level 60 characters.
Daldaen, Arbiter of the Raid Scene would dictate that any alliance or guild seeking to partake in these rotations would need to have a certain number of level 60 characters on their roster(s). Set it at say, 150. I know this content is more tuned for like 35-45 characters in level, but the number is primarily set there so guilds don't purposefully splinter to acquire more slots in the rotation. Between mains and alts, every active raiding guild or alliance who has killed Velious content in the past 2-3 weeks should meet these metrics. Guilds not meeting this metric likely are newish and haven't been locked out of the raid scene for a long time like some of the longer standing guilds. They should have time to build up to reach the metric or they can find a similarly positioned guild to ally with so they do meet it. Based on the current configuration you'd have something like: Aftermath - Dain+Zlandicar+Klandicar Awakened - WToV CSG - Eashen+Ikatiar+Aaryonar+Dagarn FAV - Lords (no Vyemm) + Lady Mir Rustle - NToV Triplets + Doubles FFA - Veeshan's Peak FFA - Wuoshi+Kelorek Dar+Yelinak FFA - Severilous+Faydedar+Gorenaire+Talendor+Trakanon+Ve nril Sathir Every week CT/Draco, ST Golems, KT, Statue, Vulak***, Vyemm and Dozekar would be FFA. The currently flagged FFA mobs would be open slots that are considered FFA until filled. You have 24 hours to kill your rotation set once the final mob in your set spawns. These mobs are then considered FFA. Repeated failure to kill your rotation mobs will result in your guild/alliance being removed from the rotation for a full cycle (2 Months based on this mob split). ***FTE on Vulak allows 24 hours to make an attempt and you may kill LINKED Lords and Ladies regardless of rotation prior to your Vulak attempt. Rotation guilds be aware of Vulak's window and when your Lords and Ladies may spawn. ----- Or just release Luclin and then PoP.

I think it would be easy to implement a very challenging, competitive rotation system - certainly much more competitive than wall staring.
For example, suppose variance was eliminated and every guild had 24 hours to kill their rotation targets or lose their spot. The top tier of the rotation is Vulak, Dozekar, Avatar of War, Sontalak, and Tunare. If chase distance and TOV binds were fixed, that's no joke to complete in one day.
