Default EQ causes PC to restart

i've run into an issue lately that has made EQ unplayable. Everytime i play, within 15 minutes of being the game, my computer restarts.

My computer doesn't do this unless im in EQ. doesn't do it when im playing steam games or browsing the internet. This never happened until recently. i'm using the client through WinEQ. any suggestions?

EQ tends to peg a single core - check your CPU temp and clean your sinks?

Most likely is overheating.
Less likely you could have a bad memory stick.
Much less likely is that there is some kind major driver conflict/error.

like everyone has said, sounds like overheating
most motherboards or bios will protect the cpu at 100c with a power off
since 105c is usually the manufacturer limit
much like what mccoy said if you can open up your tower or laptop and take a tooth brush and give everything a fine cleaning, remove dust, hair buildup from animals and just make sure all your fans are moving.
next step much like dmn suggested is look for failing issues in your windows event viewer
it will be fairly clear what the issue is after you Google your error codes
if you can reproduce the problem and check your event logs if your pc shutdowns at noon then there should be your issue in the logs also at noon
if you are at the end of your hardware's lifetime, try and stretch it out with what mccoy suggested and try and get a multithreading fix to spread the heat out over many cores and not just 1
if you need anymore help, we can help with more suggestions
