I recently installed Titanium and rolled a cleric on the proj1999 Kunark server. I have been getting disconnected every 2-15 min over the course of last night and this morning / early afternoon. I want to say about 40-50 total DC's.

I have free2play installed and i had similar problems with disconnects when i first started playing that a month ago, but somehow i managed to make it play well with my hardware/software. I installed Dx9c, the M$ KB patch to fix game crashes KB2488113-x64.

For project 1999 / EQEmu I've tried:

Adding the eqgame.exe to window firewall (Disabling the firewall as well)
Forwarding the port 5998 to the static ip of my eq pc
Adding eqgame.exe to malwarebytes ignore list (exiting mbam as well)
Setting 'Run this program as an administrator'
Running With XP SP2 compatibility
Tried Win98 compatibility as well, game would not start.
Tried making a shortcut with ...\eqgame patchme
copied EQclient.ini form a working EQ installation
verified EQ is highest priority in Bigfoot / Killer NIC network manager
disabled 2nd NIC
Under 3d gaming settings in catalyst control center, I set tessellation to 'use application settings' (all other settings looked to be set to 'use app settings' already)
Overwriting several files with the ones found here: http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=98761
Using the single CPU option via the launcher
Using WinEQ to launch the game
Checked for / have latest video drivers
Ran all in one installer from Duxa v0.14 with the option to do the multi core cpu fix, then tried option one to modify most things all at once setting classic spell gems / classic login, then ran that again setting luclin spell gems / kunark login
Even tried rebooting

Attached is my Speccy hardware/software profile.
Attached is my dbg.txt
Attached is my eqclient.ini

Sometimes mid-fight I'll stop hitting/missing a mob when i have auto-attack on, and then about 30 seconds later I start swinging again.

Sometimes I'll run and mobs are still focusing on the spot i used to be, I can tell I've lost connection and my client stopped telling the server where i went.

I will notice I DC'd when i cast a spell and the spell gems aren't lighting back up. The sense heading macro that is bound to my a/d key will tell me i can't do that while casting even though the casting should have ended already.

I notice a red asterisk by the net meter (see attached). not sure if it means anything.

Not sure what else to try really.. read a ton of posts, googled every error message I could think of. The few lines in the dbg.txt file stand out to me the most:

I believe this issue has been resolved. I disabled my killer / bigfoot network adapter in start > run > ncpa.cpl and have been using my on-board realtek nic. I have experienced no crashes since this morning, after the change was made.

I'm guessing you had more than one network adapter on this pc/laptop?

just curious, are you on wireless?

Yea on my PC i bought this sick $90 network card (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2367799,00.asp), but sadly it's cause more problems than anything - didn't even support Wake On Lan lol

Nope all wired. I use my static IP on my Killer NIC for file sharing from my mac and to remote in from work so I just need to setup the realtek to be static and change some port fwd's and I should be fine using just this NIC. If i forget to disable the killer NIC before running EQ.. EQ will certainly remind me.

I am however getting some weird behavior with auto attack.. I'm pretty sure it's lag related. Like if a mob moves, his HP bar stops updating for me and I stop auto attacking and only when I target myself or something else and then re-target the mob will i resume auto attacking.. I fraps'd it, I'll try to get it uploaded to youtube by tonight.

I have a couple other examples recorded where the auto attacking stops mid-fight, but I need to edit those a little.. lots of fluff in the middle.

This video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9_Aa5LI_eE) is just shows the spider sitting there while i walk around it with auto attack on and only when i switch targets back and forth do I start attacking it. (Video still uploading)

Search these forums "overclock"

You may be overclocked and don't realize.

I think that did it! Been playing Monk for about an hour or so and not a single hiccup with positioning / melee! Thanks very much!!

I used catalyst control center to disable it form within windows. no need to mess around with bios / setup utility.
