View Full Version : Spells: Eye of Zomm underwater

On p99 the Eye of Zomm seems to move at normal speed underwater, yet on EQmac the eye of zomm moves as if it had no swimming skill on x and y axis underwater. Normal speed going up and down Z axis.

All I could find is this thread about eye of zomm finally learning to swim in 2005 or so:

My question is for mages who may or may not remember eye of zomm underwater in classic. Did the eye move at normal speed underwater or was it heavily snared like it is currently on EQmac?

I used to play with my holgresh elder beads almost daily on live during Velious and I remember these barely being able to move in water.

eye of zomm was moving at like 0 swim speed iirc.

i distinctly remember never using it as a pull method in kedge back in the day on live and had a PC do it instead because of this.

The eye, again, has a swimming skill of 1 making him useless in water. It might have been unintntional, but I doubt it. I was kind of dissapointed- i rather liked my Turbo-Tallon - though only ever wanted one which wasnt crippled by a little h2o.

I like it that its not sinking to the bottom like a rock. Even more then i liked the turbo speed.

Should have a swimming skill of 50-100 though, atleast.

Swimming skill of 1 makes it so that you cant get to far with it underwater. And i dont see why sony wouldnt want you to be able to use it effectively underwater.

Eye of Zomm/Talon Should also work the same on ice.
