On live if a player was DSed and you hit them while having better faction next to guards the guards would assist you since the DS did damage.

I believe this mechanic is important to prevent a person from training away guards near a persons bind in order to bind camp them. It would allow the person being bind camped to DS the person there to kill him and get aggroe on them before the deed can be done.

Basically its a classic mechanic that made Faction matter if you were going to be going to a guilds bind to camp them in case of a raid wipe

I am leaning against this because it seems rather exploitable. It allows guards to assist the attacker. If I am a druid, and you are next to a guard, I just need to DS you, hit you once, and then you get XP killed by the guards.

If there is strong community support for this I will reconsider, but I am not adding it to my queue right now.

Yea this is just basically an exploit to kill some dude with thorns. Doesn't add anything of value to the box.

am fine with taking my chances naked riposting for guard aggro. Plus you very rarely run into people trying to grief so hard they kite around 2-3 full guild halls of wizards/enchanters/mages all nuking and quadding for 300s.

This thorns thing would be a perfect example of a way for a RV factioned person to kill a regular halfling(who has not factioned higher then starting) bound at the marshall who can generally rape a non tank class pretty quick if they don't run.

yea, already tried this... after they fixed DoTs with no Nuke not aggroing, its too hard to fight by guards when people think they are safe.

I wish the DS thing worked too. Dont change it though :(
