I started playing three weeks ago and signed up for a IP Exemption. I heard back yesterday and they claim my wife's account does not exist and to check the spelling and or create a character. I know her account does exist for she can login to the game.

I repsonded to the post letting them know I created a character and gave the name of the character. My first question is do I have to wait another three weeks? My second is my wife's IP Exemption tied to the character she created or can she delete and make another if and when we get approval?

They do it in batches so my guess would be you'll have to wait for the next round...

Only 1 account actually needs an exemption, see if you can both log in, if not...you are just going to have to wait for someone to get back to the petition.

They don't both need to have an exemption on them, my wife and I both have one on our mains...but I can log into any other account while she is connected and it gives me no problems.

i think i heard once that if only one account has an exemption, then you need to log the accounts in in a particular order

not sure if it was the exempt one first or second

or even if it was true, it was second hand info =p

To use both accounts at the same time, only one strictly has to have an exemption. There CAN sometimes be problems, like at times the exempted account has to log in after the non-exempted.

And don't forget you're playing on a free server made and staffed by volunteers, if they ever get to it you're getting your money's worth.

Well if that is the case maybe he flagged mine and not hers since he couldn't find hers. We will have to check this out when the server comes back up.

I give enough exemptions for the accounts listed. If you did not list all accounts playing from one IP, then not all accounts will be exempted. If you decide you don't want to play those specific accounts and make new accounts or use different accounts, you will run into problems

First Question: Yes. You will have to wait until the next round of exemptions. I try to do a batch a week, but its not guaranteed. Typically, if your exemption post does not contain the information needed, then I will tell you what you left out or is needed and it will be looked at again during the next batch. If it goes over 4 weeks without you responding back to what I asked for, it gets moved to resolved.

Second Question: IP exemptions are tagged to accounts, not characters. You can delete your characters once the account is exempted. However, you can not receive an exemption if your account has never had a character on it, so that is why we need you to make at least one prior to asking for an exemption

So from a guide, do both accounts need exemption to play together? I tried once with my fiancee (my account is exempt) but it didn't work.

Tried it both ways, won't let us both on. So I guess you need both exempt.

The same for me I can't login if my wife is in or the other way around. Oh well have to wait some more. :(

well specifically, my account has an IP exemption from two years ago. Someone said only one needed it but it seems to not be the case :(
