the level 2 and 18 songs do not stack, I started during Kunark and I know for a fact in Velious they stacked (I swarm kited ice clad cougars and used both songs). I do not know if they were allowed to stacked post classic? Can someone please confirm and/or change these songs to stack?

Another thing I have noticed with these songs, which I am not sure is classic, but at least by luclin, the range of these spells were nearly 2x of what they are currently iirc.

yeah..i understand how this may be considered overpowered..but nevertheless. It existed in classic and wasnt fixed until like 2007 or something i think..so on the timeline we are gunning for it should never be fixed..
I didn't choose a -40% character just to find out one of the main reasons i chose him for was taken out of classic?

That was never "fixed", they were supposed to stack. They still do on Live as of today, and they always did.
That being said, the range is wrong for the era. Chords of Dissonance and Denon's Disruptive Discord should both be approx. 3x melee range. They were only changed to the range currently on Live and on Project 1999 around Omens of War, nerfed to slightly more than 1x melee range, to prevent swarm kiting. And really that change was only made because bards were hogging the entirety of popular leveling zones doing it. Shouldn't be an issue here.

There is no issue with range on this server. It boils down to the increased mob hit boxes. They can hit a farther distance, practically making swarm kiting impossible. Charm kiting is also uber bugged, just a heads up for ya. :( (mobs will only agro one on one, no swarms hitting your pet)

Instruments should also effect range slightly no? By that I mean equipping an instrument as opposed to not equipping one? Or does it only effect the damage/duration?

No. The melee range is bigger, yes, but Chords of Dissonance in particular used to be able to hit things behind the camera if you zoomed all the way out when in chase cam. It got tons of us killed, and it's what led to a lot of bards habitually using the long-range camera mode. The current range on Chords of Dissonance is nowhere *near* what it was in 1999, or even in Kunark and Velious.
Edit - and instruments don't affect range, no.
As I remember it (swarmed from 18 to 50 on my bard), Chords (level 2) was point blank aoe, and Denons (18) had a larger range.
They should stack though.
