Both before and after this latest patch, I've tried buying the Spits off the baking merchant in neriak and the number of spits he holds (10) never decreases. The time i tried before patch, I bought over 10 and could still buy more. The number just stays perpetually at 10.
However I see that there are only 2 vials of swirling smoke atm in neriak at the other merchant, so it seems to be working for other items
